Ushers

A church hospitality Usher plays a large role in creating an atmosphere of welcoming and acceptance at a church. He/she is often the first person that people meet as they walk through the front doors, and it is their job to make them feel welcome and comfortable on a number of levels.

Some of these duties include: taking up the collection at the Offertory of the Mass, assisting people in finding a seat during crowded services, direct the Communion procession, assisting people as needed, and distributing the weekly bulletin at the end of Mass. Ushers usually assist at the Sunday Mass that they attend each week. If interested in becoming an Usher, please discuss your interest with another Usher at the Mass you usually attend.
